No matter what, nearly everyone can say they know what to expect from a Thanksgiving menu. Turkey? Check. Potatoes? Check. Green bean casserole? Check. But for our gluten-free friends and family, this holiday is a little less than exciting. Especially since much of it is flour-forward. For a holiday centered around food, it’s interesting that the concept hasn’t been thrown back onto the drawing board after all these years! So, we’re introducing a fresh take on a classic thanksgiving menu.
In our minds, Thanksgiving is one of the best opportunities to gather willing participants in a room (of whom are ready to eat you out of house and home no matter what you’re offering). So, why not try something new and unexpected while you have the chance? AND, in the meantime, bring something to the table for our GF pals. With that being said, we’re thrilled to introduce you to our official Moments Thanksgiving menu. Which features 100% gluten-free offerings, all of which include a fresh take on the classic Thanksgiving vibe we all know and love.
The menu…
A lot of the elements you’ll see included above utilize those harvest flavors and autumn specialties, but in a way that’s a bit…untraditional. We took cues from many different outlets when creating this, and feel like it’s time for everyone to give this new menu a go. What to expect, you might ask? In true Moments fashion, we couldn’t make a menu without some sort of pizza, pasta, or soup. So, we opted for a low-effort, pillowy gluten-free gnocchi with mushrooms and sage browned butter to fill a void we felt was much-needed. Stuffing and gravy were a must. And since they’re gluten-free, will be extra helpful to those who aren’t hosting Thanksgiving, but definitely want to partake. We think all of these pieces are perfectly able to be coursed out – so if you’re in the mood for that, go for it!

The herb-roasted turkey breast offers a much simpler alternative to cooking an entire turkey. But, fear not! The recipe can just as easily be adapted to a full turkey if needed. Just know that the breast itself doesn’t sacrifice any flavor or moisture on its own. One bite and you’ll be sold. And on the side, the gluten-free stuffing and gravy needs little to no introduction. It’s just that good.

Finally, we wanted to round the meal out with a true knock-it-out-of-the-park dessert. We’re not ~huge~ dessert people, but when I say that this butterscotch pudding made both of us swoon, I’m not kidding. It’s just sweet enough. Leaves you wanting more. And presents all of those Thanksgiving flavors we’re looking for. Really and truly delicious.
