It seems that “Gluten-Free” has been sweeping the nation as of late, and if you have Celiac disease, follow a Gluten-Free diet, or know someone who is GF, I’m sure you’d agree in saying: it’s about time!
However, despite the mainstream growth of GF menu options and grocery store additions, we still have a ways to go to reach the same sense of normalcy as everyone else.
If you’re wondering about my credentials on this topic (or haven’t been a regular on the blog, which in that case, welcome!!), back in 2008 I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Although it was crazy news to digest at the time, I’ve really come to appreciate my allergy over the years!
To sum things up…
Being Gluten-Free doesn’t have to be a death sentence anymore – thankfully. Actually, I’ve come to find that it’s the exact opposite. Having Celiac Disease has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and has made me a more talented chef due to having to make all of the essential elements myself. Plus, it really forces my hand into eating whole, clean foods with minimal ingredients and unnecessary additives.
As of 2022, removing gluten has never been easier, or more delicious. I’ve done the work for you – through lots and LOTS of trial and error – and have narrowed down the ingredients & products that I really can’t live without.
Long story short, my mom and I have cracked the code!
So, if you’ve been thinking about going Gluten-Free, are newly Gluten-Free, know someone who is Gluten-Free, or are a GF veteran yourself and just need some tips…this list is for you!
