Chances are, you’re looking to pull together something fun for Halloween night…but don’t know what. Are we hitting the nail on the head? In our minds, the perfect entertaining concept needs three essential components. It has to be easy, it needs to feed a group of people, and most importantly, it MUST follow a theme (and be fun!). To say this year’s idea checks all of those boxes and more would be an understatement. And, it also has the major upside of being easy on the host. Yes, you heard us right! You’ll actually have the opportunity to enjoy the event you’ve planned. So, if you’re ready to roll up your cloak and secure your pointed hat, I think we can make something work – because it’s time to host a witchy Halloween get-together!
As you can tell, we haven’t put ours on yet. Which is exactly why you should plan to see the final product in our next post (coming before Halloween), where we go over the party, share our final pics, and further inspire you to put together a witchy Halloween for the big day.
The theme…
Last year, we brought you a romantically vampiric dinner party, and the year prior, we curated the perfect menu to enjoy inside a haunted house. Both themes were huge hits, and in case you want to go either of those directions instead, we highly recommend it! This year, however, we’re running with the ever-exciting concept of impromptu entertaining, and are presenting something a bit more cackle-friendly.
See below for our witchy Halloween mood board. We’ve also linked some of the products that are sure to appear on our table, in case you want to do the same!
Cocktail/Wine Glasses: House of Hackney Coupe Glasses
Cauldron: Williams Sonoma Cauldron Serving Bowl
Mugs: Williams Sonoma Black Cauldron Mugs
The menu…
In the vein of “girl dinner”, we felt that this Halloween was calling for something simplistic and fun. Think: fondue in a cauldron! We’re picturing you and all of your closest friends/family standing around a table, dipping different fondue-related ingredients into a cauldron and tossing them onto a small plate. All the while, you’ll be enjoying a delish sparkling beverage. For those of us who drink alcohol, Avaline’s sparkling white or red would be our suggestion. For those who don’t partake, try Lyre’s sparkling non-alcoholic wine or Ghia’s Ghia soda. All in costume, of course.
Although we’re huge fans of pulling out all the stops and going above and beyond with our holiday entertaining, this year, we wanted to focus on the big picture. And that’s not to say all of the boxes haven’t been checked and it’s not a reasonably-sized production (I don’t think we’re capable of doing anything halfway). It’s just a bit hands-off in the kitchen. Which is much needed!
The playlist…
Let us know how your witchy Halloween goes in the comments! For all of the final photos and updates on the event, stay tuned for this upcoming weekend!
