Back a few summers ago, we had tried our first jalapeño cheddar burgers. They were sitting in the case at the meat counter of Harris Teeter in South Carolina. We were on vacation, it was one of our first nights, and we just wanted something easy to toss on the grill. After spotting the burgers, we had to give them a try!
What ensued after that was the attempt to make them ourselves. With homegrown jalapeños ever present out our back door (hello container gardening and farmers markets!), we knew our own version was right around the corner. Fresher, meatier, and just a little bit elevated.
Our Jalapeño Cheddar Burgers are juicy, flavorful, just the right amount of cheesy/spicy, and super easy to make on a busy night where people just want to be fed. Recruit a pal to squish them together with you, and you’re set! Toss them on a grill, and enjoy!
