Some people are dessert people in the sense that they like to make desserts, and other people are dessert people in the sense that they like to *eat* desserts. There are a select few that fit in both categories, but my mom and I are most certainly in the latter department. We LOVE eating desserts on both regular days and special occasions. When it comes to making them, though…not so much.
However, there are certain recipes that really tick the right boxes for us. They have to be easy, quick, and involve limited technical knowledge or room for error. Sound about right? Well these White (and pink!) Chocolate Strawberries are exactly that. They come together in under 15 minutes, are absolutely adorable, and hit those sweet-treat notes that you need at the end of a nice dinner.
We added a touch of red food coloring to our white melting chocolate to make these pink little guys come together – and we couldn’t be happier with the result! I mean…they’re SO CUTE. So, let us know in the comments if you give these a try. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, girl’s night, or any last-minute celebration in between. Enjoy!
White (and pink!) Chocolate Strawberries
Ingredients
- 1 package white melting chocolate (we use Dolci Frutta melting wafers)
- strawberries, washed and pat dry
- red food coloring
Instructions
- Firstly, set a small sauce pot on the stove over medium-low heat. Add the melting wafers and stir frequently (they'll melt quickly!).
- Once the chocolate has melted completely, remove the pot from the heat. Add in 3-4 drops of the red food coloring, to your color preference. Mix to combine.
- Using the same pot or after transferring to a separate bowl, twirl your pat-dry strawberries in the chocolate to cover. Then, set onto a sheet pan with parchment paper to dry.
- After they've dried, add to a serving plate and enjoy!
