Sunday was National Wine and Cheese Day, but…we missed it. We could probably blame it on the fact that everyday is National Wine and Cheese Day in our eyes, but in truth, it just slipped right past us.

When you really think about it though, why is there only one day celebrating such a momentous holiday? Frankly, that just doesn’t work for us over in the Moments kitchen, so instead, we’re proposing a change: Wine and Cheese Week! Thoughts?

In order to get the week underway properly, this post is going to give you several wine and cheese options that would go perfectly with an array of gatherings you might host. No matter what you’re planning on being up to, you have to agree…it’s hard to beat wine and cheese.

About the Wine…

For us, wine and cheese as a pairing encapsulates so many things that we love – impromptu entertaining, casual conversation, embracing the moment…we could go on for days. When it comes to the two of US as a pairing though, to my bank account’s chagrin, our tastes are very similar.

Cheese is easy. It’s hard to break the bank on a solid cheese board, and often, the good stuff is just good. Wavering to other options isn’t totally worth the search. But in the wine department, that’s a little more tricky.

After being at home for over a year and a half now, I have forced myself to seek out wine options that suit my palate, but are better for my price range than the to-die-for options that my mom drinks.

To make a long story short, depending on your price points and preferred flavor profile, there’s something for everyone on this list. We got so much inspiration for this post from Etú Home and their beautiful cheese boards – they’re absolutely stunning and we can’t add them to our cart fast enough.
